Affectionately known as the 'Yankee' this small hatchet from Prandi is a great choice of axe for the bushcrafter. It offers a carbon steel (C45/1045) head which has been highly polished. The head weighs 600g (1.35lb) and offers a 38cm American Hickory wood handle and is supplied with a leather mask. This size of axe is great for general campsite tasks, such as splitting firewood, limbing smaller trees, hunting and even if highly sharpened.
