Bushcraft Can Openers
(Approx $0.9915)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Greenman Bushcraft P-38 Can Openers are made from solid stainless steel. Each can opener is small, folds flat, and will fit neatly inside a survival kit. Unlike some camping can openers, ours have been sharpened, so they can be used in place of a knife in emergencies, and the small notch under the 'tooth' attaches to most cans meaning less chance of slipping.
P-38 Can Openers
These small can openers were first developed during World War II in 1942 by the U.S Army Research Laboratory. Nobody knows the exact reason why they were named P-38 (although they are 38mm in size!) but it is often said it used to take 38 punctures around an old-style can to open it fully.
Our can openers are supplied idvidually, and may vary slightly from those shown in the image used.
CUSTOMER REVIEWS
"If it works don't fix it. These came in rat packs and are just as good now as then."
"Had one of these years ago but lost it. It is great to be able find one of these gems, excellent at doing what it's supposed to do. Have bought some for my dad also. Highly recommended."
"What is there to say about these superb bits of kit ?? They do what it says on the tin, they will open most cans, with little resistance - had these in my RAF days and never let me down !!"
"The item received was slightly smaller than the regular British military issue and the retaining hole is at the other end. Otherwise, the opener does exactly what you want it to. Handy piece of kit. "
