PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This outdoor knife is designed by Mora of Sweden and is based on one of the best Bushcraft and survival knives that money can buy - the world famous Mora clipper/companion.  This rendition of the companion Bushcraft knife is larger and stronger, meaning it's every bit as useful as its smaller brother, but is now perfect for larger and more demanding Bushcraft and survival tasks!

The Mora Companion Heavy Duty is a strong, powerful survival knife, especially useful for Bushcraft, hunting and general outdoor camping and camp craft use. The Mora Heavy Duty MG Companion knife has an extra-large ergonomic handle with a texturized, high-friction rubber grip, meaning it's usable even in wet conditions.

The knife has a much thicker, 3.2mm high-carbon steel blade with a high load capacity, meaning it's a good choice of knife for Bushcraft tasks such as batoning wood.

The classic scandi grind combined with the superior quality carbon steel means that this bushcraft blade is easy to sharpen to a razors edge, perfect for making feathersticks, carving and splitting wood for the campfire.

The impact resistant moulded sheath is made from plastic, and comes complete with belt clip and water drainage hole. Although we also offer optional leather sheaths for this Mora Knife in eithwe brown or black leather.

  • Blade Thickness: 3,2mm
  • Blade Length: 104mm
  • Total Length: 225mm

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

"This is my first bushcraft knife and I am confident that it will prove to be perfect for my needs. It feels safe in my hand and in the sturdy plastic sheath. I look forward to years of use."

"Arrived very promptly, great quality knife for the money, its worth paying the extra couple quid for the heavy duty version as its more sturdy I would recommend this as a great starter bushcraft knife. I have a few mora knives they keep there edge well and do not rust even ones Ive had for years and use for fishing."

"Probably actually my favourite of the Mora knives I have, all bought here. This one is a tough little companion outdoors blade. Sharp straight out of the packaging. Good blade to have in the woods. "

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Trevor D Gamble.

"Arrived within a few days, and is incredibly sharp out of the box. The rubber handle is sticky though, so I will see whether this becomes worse as it isn't something I have experienced with my other two Mora knives."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Richard Pike

"Wonderful knife for the money. The blade is nice and heavy, and very sharp. A great, general purpose knife to have around."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Gareth

"After recently becoming interested in Bushcraft I ordered this knife and can confirm it is excellent quality for the price. The blade has a very keen edge and the handle is solid and comfortable. The plastic sheath also works very well and the knife and sheath should be very durable. It doesn't have the style and panache of a hand made bespoke Bushcraft knife but doesn't come with a multi hundred pound price either. The knife will do everything the expensive knives will do and is a perfect budget option. Recommended! :-)"

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Barry Webber

"Received knife today and very impressed. I upgraded after ordering online to the heavy duty version, Greenham staff were very helpful over the phone, in helping with my request and the packaging etc that the knife arrived in was first class....you may think that it would just be bubble wrapped at the price, but came in a Morakniv cardboard packaging box. Extremely sharp, as other reviews list. Would recommend."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Gary Stephenson

"a good solid knife which sharpens quickly and holds it's sharpness. Have only used it a couple of times but can see that it will give me good service in the future."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Grant Darbey

"Such a good quality knife for the money, have now started buying them as presents for like minded friends. Always useful to have in the car/toolbox, let alone in my camping gear."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Martin

"I am very impressed with the Bushcraft 840 Heavy Duty MG. It is very well made. Very sharp. Has a good grip A beefy blade and feel. This is the best knife I own."

StarStarStarStarStarReview By David Maxwell

"Excellent value for money, field craft knife. Survived a week in the Lakes, as a trial for two weeks in the Pyrenees. Should live up to expectations"

StarStarStarStarStarReview By Darren

"Buy this instead of the basic Frost Mora/Clipper. It's only a few more pounds and for that you get a much sturdier knife with a stronger blade that inspires a lot more confidence. The basic knife is very good indeed, but this one is better and worth the small exta outlay."
