PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Forest Hatchet has a 14 inch wooden handle and 1.25lb head.  These forest school axes are ideal for those who don't want to spend lots of money on the other branded bushcraft axes that we offer.

The Forest axe is great for splitting small logs, chopping kindling for the campfire and other campsite jobs which often arise in the garden or on a forest school lesson.  Because these budget axes cost a lot less than the big brands, such as Gransfors, they may need a final sharpen for finer jobs.

Please note the colour/type may vary slightly from the image shown.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

"For the price, the hatchet does the job and lasts long enough to not be a wasted investment. Unfortunately it arrives blunt and requires a lot of sharpening with a file to put a proper edge on it. Rubber capped instead of a sheath, filled with sticky glue and took a lot of washing to remove from the axe head. Good for throwing and splitting logs, and other odd jobs - for cheap."

"overall a fairly descent Axe, it does come relatively sharp but sharpened in such a way its only good for splitting logs, needed a good sharpen to get it sharp enough to carve, i managed to break the handle after number of heavy blows on sharp tough hard wood , also does not come with a sheath rather a section of rubber protecting the edge "

"A nice little hatchet but overall quality could be better."
