CUSTOMER REVIEWS
"great little axe, if you have not bought one, do so now!"
"Great little axe! came razor sharp and have trouble putting it down as I have now carved a whole cutlery and bowl set."
"What can I say? This is, in my opinion, the finest axe-making company in the world! Everything about this axe is quality and even comes with the 'Axe Book' with a photograph of the people that make your own axe. Matching the stamp on the axe-head to the person group photo really adds to the feeling of quality. These axes aren't just churned out of a factory but are crafted by people that know exactly what they're doing and they're designed for specific purposes. Although guaranteed for 20 years, this axe should really last your lifetime if treated well. Can't recommend these axes highly enough; stunning craftsmanship, traditional and highly effective design and so well presented in a very attractive sheath."
"This is a special axe and I love it. It’s as sharp as a knife and the shorter handle makes it perfect for woodworking projects. The handle is roughened to improve the grip (I would have thought) but it looks like a dog chewed it (maybe an old on with fewer teeth). The head has a lovely finish on the blade, the blackening on the rest of the head is less refined than on the gransfors bruks American felling axe I bought a few years ago. The sheath is effective and secure, but again, I’d say it doesn’t have the quality feel my older axe has (the leather on the riveted front undulates excessively and at the back of the head the cover is loose. These are minor niggles and I would still recommend this axe in spades, I am gobsmacked how much they’ve gone up in the last few years (I got the American felling axe for a little more than this in 2011) and if it wasn't the competitively priced offering at Greenman, I think I would have tried a different manufacturer (and probably regretted it!)"
